The Unable to load the 'main' template error occurs when an administrator tries to save settings in the admin configuration section of the website. It is displayed in a box with the heading "An Error Has Occured"
This error is associated with the JoomlaHacks SMF bridge.
I have found a solution to the 'Unable to load the 'main' template.' error with SMF and the Joomla JoomlaHacks SMF Bridge.
The solution to the error is to simply access your forum admin panel from the root directory of the forum.
For example, on my site, my url is
www.jaisaben.com, and my forum is embedded in that site using the Joomlahacks bridge, and is found at
http://www.jaisaben.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,28/. When I installed SMF, I installed it in the directory
www.jaisaben.com/forum.
If I access the admin configuration setting via
www.jaisaben.com/forum, I don't get the error 'Unable to load the 'main' template.' when I try to save my settings.
